Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: October 2026 · Next review: June 2027 · Read time: 6 min · Version 1.5

This explains when you can cancel and when you are entitled to a refund, for the paid £300 + VAT Marketing & Automation Deep-Dive, monthly website management, a website provided as a service, and any bespoke build, alongside your statutory rights. The free Site Score audit costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund there. This policy sits with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Ownership note: there is no lock-in and no exit or transfer fee. Your code and your domain are yours, and you can walk away with everything.

1. Who we are

This service is operated by TicketWave HQ Ltd, trading as VerySEOly, registered in England and Wales, company number 17143167, registered office Radley House, Richardshaw Road, Pudsey, LS28 6LE, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@veryseoly.com / 0113 460 2103 (this line is temporarily out of service, so please use email or the enquiry form).

2. Your right to cancel, consumers

If you bought as a consumer (an individual buying for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession), you normally have a 14-day cancellation period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, running from the day after the contract was made (i.e. the day you paid for the Deep-Dive, or the day you started monthly website management). Within that period you can cancel for any reason, with no penalty.

To cancel within the 14-day window (or at any time after), just tell me clearly, email hello@veryseoly.com, or use the model cancellation form in section 7. You do not have to give a reason. If you cancel within 14 days and I have not started work at your request, you will receive a full refund (see section 6 for timing).

By placing your order and sending me your content or booking your consultation to get started, you are asking me to begin the service during the cancellation period. If you cancel within 14 days and no work has yet started, you receive a full refund. If you asked me to begin work during the 14 days and I have done so, and you then cancel, I may deduct a proportionate amount reflecting the work done up to the point you told me, that is, a proportion of the total price for the work actually carried out, calculated under regulation 36(4) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Anything paid beyond that proportionate amount is refunded. The right to cancel ends once the service is fully performed (for the Deep-Dive, once the written audit has been delivered; for a build, once your website is live).

3. The £300 + VAT Marketing & Automation Deep-Dive

The Deep-Dive is a one-hour consultation plus a detailed written audit and a fixed quote for your build. It is paid up front, and the £300 is credited in full against any build you go on to commission. Cancellation works like this:

  • Within the first 14 days (statutory cancellation right, consumers): if you have booked the consultation but I have not yet started work at your request, cancel any time and I refund the £300, and any VAT you paid on it, in full. If you asked me to begin during the 14 days (for example, I have held the consultation or started preparing the written audit), I keep a proportionate amount of the £300 reflecting work actually carried out (regulation 36(4)) and refund the rest. Once the written audit has been delivered to you, the service is fully performed and the statutory cancellation right no longer applies.
  • If you go on to commission a build: the £300 is credited against your first invoice, so you do not pay it twice.
  • If I cancel (for example, I decline the project or cannot deliver it): you get a full refund of the £300, and of any VAT you paid on it.
  • Things going wrong: where the law gives you a remedy, for example if the work was not carried out with reasonable care and skill (Consumer Rights Act 2015 / our contract), I will put it right (re-perform the work), or if that is not possible or done within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to a price reduction. Tell me within a reasonable time of noticing a problem.

3a. Monthly website management

The bespoke build is looked after on monthly website management, quoted to your business, and services may vary. It may run as a monthly managed service or as one-off consulting, whichever suits the work. There is no lock-in and no minimum term. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current paid period, I do not refund part-periods (subject to the 14-day statutory cancellation right described in section 2). On cancellation:

  • Website management ends at the end of the paid period. There is no exit or transfer fee: your code is yours, and on cancellation I hand it over on request so you can host it elsewhere, at no charge. You keep your domain too.
  • Lead-magnet flows, CRM data and newsletter subscribers I hold on your behalf are exported to you on request within 14 days. Any CRM or newsletter account opened in your name stays yours.
  • Article work already published stays published on your site; future articles cease at the end of the paid period.
  • If I cancel (for example, I decline to continue, or cannot deliver): you get a full refund of anything you have paid for work not yet done, and you keep your domain, your code, and anything you brought me.

3b. Website as a service

Where your website is provided as a service (a setup fee, then a weekly fee billed every four weeks in advance, with the website kept and run by me under section 3a of the Terms), there is no lock-in and no minimum term. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current paid four-week period; I do not refund part-periods.

  • The setup fee is not refundable once work has started. Consumers keep the 14-day right in section 2: cancel before I start and the setup fee is refunded in full.
  • On cancellation you keep your domain, your email account, your content and a copy of your website's text, and I hand the domain's technical records to you or your next provider on request. The website itself comes down at the end of the paid period; there is no exit or transfer fee because there is nothing of yours to transfer.
  • If I cancel for a reason other than your breach or non-payment: at least 60 days' notice, a refund of any part of the current period not served, and you keep everything that is yours.

4. Bespoke and larger projects

For one-off work beyond monthly website management (shops, booking systems, web apps, and the like), cancellation and refunds follow the written quote/Order for that project and the principles above, generally: full refund before work starts; thereafter, a refund reflecting work done and any non-refundable third-party costs.

5. Booking, ordering, ticketing and stock systems

Where your site connects to a booking, ordering, ticketing or stock system, that system is provided by its own supplier, under the supplier's own terms, and anything it charges is billed by that supplier, not by VerySEOly. Cancelling that system, and any refund of its fees, is a matter between you and its supplier. The work I do to connect the system to your site is part of your build or website management, and this policy applies to it in the same way as to the rest of that work.

6. How refunds are paid

Refunds are made to the original payment method, normally within 14 days of me agreeing the refund (or, for the consumer 14-day cancellation, within 14 days of you telling me you are cancelling). I invoice by email and do not take card payments through this site, so I never hold your card details.

7. Model cancellation form (consumers)

You do not have to use this, any clear statement works, but if you would like to, complete and send this to hello@veryseoly.com:

To: TicketWave HQ Ltd (trading as VerySEOly), Radley House, Richardshaw Road, Pudsey, LS28 6LE, hello@veryseoly.com

8. Complaints & your rights

If something has gone wrong, contact me first, hello@veryseoly.com, and I will do my best to sort it quickly.
